Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Mathriving handles personal information when students, parents, guardians, educators, and visitors use our website and math learning services.

Our privacy approach

Mathriving is designed for education. We collect only what we reasonably need to provide math practice, accounts, progress tracking, support, security, and service improvement. We treat children's and students' personal information as sensitive.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information, such as name or display name, email address, password credentials, language, and account settings.
  • Student profile information, such as grade level, current level, practice settings, and learning preferences.
  • Learning data, such as worksheets completed, answers submitted, scores, accuracy, mistakes, progress history, streaks, and AI feedback status.
  • Payment and subscription information, if you purchase a paid plan. Payment card details are processed by payment providers and are not stored directly by Mathriving.
  • Technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, log data, cookies, and approximate location derived from technical data.
  • Support communications, such as emails or messages you send to us.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create and manage accounts;
  • provide adaptive math practice, worksheets, scoring, progress dashboards, mistake review, and AI-assisted feedback;
  • personalize practice by grade, level, and past performance;
  • communicate service messages, security notices, support responses, and account updates;
  • process subscriptions, billing, referrals, and refunds where applicable;
  • maintain security, prevent misuse, debug issues, and improve reliability;
  • understand product usage and improve educational content and features.

3. Children, students, parents, and schools

If a child under 13 uses Mathriving, a parent, guardian, teacher, or school should provide consent and supervision. We do not knowingly ask children for more personal information than is reasonably needed to provide the service.

Parents, guardians, and authorized schools may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of a child's personal information. If we learn that a child provided personal information without required consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

4. AI-assisted features

Mathriving may use AI-assisted systems to generate questions, explanations, and feedback. We may process worksheet answers, question context, scores, and related learning data to provide feedback. We do not use student personal information to create advertising profiles.

5. Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies for login sessions, security, preferences, analytics, and performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work without essential cookies.

6. When we share information

We may share information with:

  • service providers that help us host, secure, operate, analyze, email, support, or process payments for Mathriving;
  • parents, guardians, teachers, or schools when an account is connected to them or when they are authorized to manage student learning;
  • law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security;
  • a successor organization if Mathriving is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate privacy protections.

We do not sell student personal information. We do not knowingly use children's personal information for behavioural advertising.

7. Storage, safeguards, and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and loss. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

Our service providers may process or store information in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions. Information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including account operation, learning records, legal obligations, security, dispute resolution, and backup retention. We may de-identify or aggregate information so it no longer identifies a user.

9. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent where applicable, request deletion, or ask questions about our privacy practices. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, or legitimate operational reasons.

Parents, guardians, and authorized educators may contact us about student accounts they are responsible for.

10. Marketing communications

If we send optional promotional emails, you may unsubscribe using the link in the email. We may still send non-promotional service, security, billing, or account messages.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Mathriving changes or as legal requirements evolve. The updated version will show a new last updated date. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users.
